For those who live in Brunei, I am pretty sure you know that there's another Excapade Sushi in Regent Square around Kiulap area. So, the three of us – Jenny, Jia and I went to try out the new place some time last week. It was my first time going there but not the first time for the other two girls. We had a hearty meal and we ordered a table full of dishes. Hahaha … People might be shocked at how much the three of us could eat. Well, there were quite a few stuffs which I found nice. I like their Enoki Battayaki. It is needle mushroom cooked with oyster sauce. Hahaha … We paid quite a lot for a person. Jenny and I paid $16 each and Jia paid for about $20 coz she ordered takeaways for her family. Anyways, I like the way they serve you Green Tea in this new branch. They give tea bags in each and every cup rather than the tea pots they are using at the Gadong Branch. And they have got this little hot water dispenser by the side of your table. So, you can refill as much as you like without even thinking that the waiter or waitress giving you a face when you kept on asking for refills. Hahaha … PS: There will be loads of pictures about Japanese food coming soon. So, if you are currently craving for Japanese food, I will suggest you leave the page before you start blaming me for your crave towards Japanese food. Hahaha … Just kidding! 1). Green Tea A very convenient way for both the customers and the waiter/waitress. Customers can have their refill any time they want. 2). Tuna Sushi I don't know the real name for this sushi in their menu so I made it up. Hahaha … But I think it should be something like that in the menu. Hahaha … Normally, I don't like sushi that comes with Tuna. But surprisingly, I liked it. Jenny and Jia were surprised that I eat raw salmon and fishes. I think I had given them the wrong impression in the first place. Hahaha … I had taken an interest towards raw salmon and fishes ever since I came back from the UK. My Sister likes to buy those raw salmon from ASDA. I tried them before and they are nice. That's when I started eating raw salmon. 4). Mini California Roll I like those crispy flakes covering the sushi. It's nice. There are cheese, crabstick and avocado on the inside. We ordered thrice for this. *sweat* 5). Enoki Battayaki Hehehe … We ordered this dish twice. I was the one who proposed to have it ordered the second time. Both Jenny and Jia agreed on it. But what happened in the end was that they don't feel like eating it anymore when it came, so I had to finish half of it all on my own. *duh* 6). Tamago with Mayo and "Fish Eggs" 7). I don't know what's this called but I liked it a lot. Hahaha … 8). Gyoza This is just average. I prefer the Gyoza which I used to have at Taro Restaurant, Soho. 9). Haru Maki It's actually Cheese Spring Roll with bits of prawn meat on the inside. It tastes good if you dip it with their Chili Sauce. I guess this is all for now. Can't think of anything else to write about. Hahaha … Anyways, I will be celebrating my 22nd Birthday at Capers, Kiulap on the 6th October. More food pictures coming up. If you have a thing for Italian Cuisine, Capers might be the place for you. I am thinking of trying Savy's Brasserie when I have got the chance. *winks* Ciao.
3). Mini Salmon Mayo
There's blackout in the Gadong area earlier on and I heard that the electric has yet recovered. The areas nearby to my house were affected as well. But we were lucky that it's being fixed now. I was unable to sleep early on. No matter how calm I tried to be, I just couldn't sleep coz it was £$%% hot. I logged into MSN with my phone but didn't stay for long coz I am not sure how long the battery could sustain if there's no electric for the next few days. What we knew about the blackout was that the one of the parts in the main electric fuse box for Gadong area wasn't fixed properly in the first place. Sometime around the previous CNY, we had a blackout which lasted for about three days. Some claimed that it was due to the heavy rain and flooding around the area. But some claimed that there was an explosion from the part which was being faulty. So, the people-in-charge had the thing fixed by ordering a brand new part from overseas. But it only lasted for a few months before it tripped again earlier this evening. All we know now is that the faulty part is beyond repair and they have to order a new part again. The blackout might last for another two days. *sigh* I still have got loads of work to do in the office. If the electric has yet recovered by tomorrow, then I guess I am left with no choice but to bring work home. *sob*
Aww! I can't believe that I am turning 22 in less than two weeks time. How I wish I could turn back time and forever be 21. What naïve thinking, I would say. I had been greedy lately. There are so many gadgets which caught my attention just very recently. There were quite a few occasions when I had been so obsessed with LG Prada II. I know it's a backdated model. But it looked so elegant to me. Anyways, here comes my birthday wishlist. Muahahahahaz … 1). Rumour Has It – Jill Mansell It's very hard to get a copy of the book here in Brunei. So, I was wondering is there any other way I could have the book? Please … 2). Remember Me? – Sophie Kinsella I wasn't at all interested with the book until my Sister told me that she bought the book. So, I went to Great Eastern and had a look at the synopsis. It wasn't half bad. I tell you. 3). Samsung MP3 Player Initially, I was interested with the other model but have the same design and function but difference in storage capacity. 4). Laptop I am dying to have a new one coz my current notebook always has its moment. *sweat* 5). Sony Cybershot T90 I had been doing a bit of market survey on digital cameras and this one sort of suits my budget. xD 6). Lancome Miracle So Magic

I guess that's all I have to say. Hahaha … Time to hit the sack. Its gonna be a long day at work tomorrow. Lucky that I had finished more than half of my mountain high pile of work.
Work had been hectic today. I did not manage to finish my work during the evening as the store was packed with customers hence I have to go down and be a packer for the rest of the night. Its pay day tomorrow, therefore I am expecting that I will be stranded on the selling floor for like the whole afternoon and evening. I have got to turn in to work early tomorrow or else I am never gonna finish my work tomorrow before the store is all packed with customers. I was having a hard time moving around this evening coz most of the corners were packed with customers and fully loaded trolleys. Sometimes, I don't even understand why customers like to park their trolleys in the middle of the walking aisle. Anyways, I received two unexpected calls today while I was busy doing something else. Lucky that I did not drop my phone coz I was multitasking while picking up the call. One of the Sales Representatives from Standard Chartered Bank called to me to ask whether I am still interested in applying one of their credit cards. Apparently, my Department Manager had given her my details and asked her to call me back. Well, my Department Manager knew that I wanted to apply for credit cards. But then due to certain circumstance, I wasn't able to apply for one for the time being. My work permit is due to expire in less than two months. Therefore, I have to wait till the company renewed my permit before I applied for one. Anyways, I am pretty sure that the Sales Representative would call me back some time very soon. Hahaha … =D I guess this is all for now. See ya. PS: To certain someone, I am sorry that I did not wish you luck for your big day today. I was too engrossed with my work that I have so many things to do today. Sorry …
My entire body is screaming in pain. I was wearing heels of three and a half inches to work this morning. I brought along a pair of slippers to work coz I knew for sure that I would feel tired walking around with heels. And guess what? One of the straps on my slippers went off! Of all days, it happened on the day when I was in a hurry to get myself some dinner before looking after departments when the Muslim staffs were off to have their dinner after starving for like more than 12 hours. Hahaha … To make things worst, my nightmare didn't just end with a broken pair of slippers. The entire food court was packed. Both my colleague and I couldn't even find a single empty table. Lesson learned, never ever attempt to go for dinner some time after five in the afternoon during Ramadan season or else you're gonna have a hard time looking for tables and chairs. My meal routine hasn't been very stable lately. Normally, I have my lunch at around 12PM. But there were quite a few times when I got tied up with work, I have no choice but to go for lunch at 1PM and then had dinner again about two hours later. Damn crazy! The food which was just being taken in few hours ago weren't even completely digested yet. *sigh* Anyways, it will be a peak period from 17th September till 20th September at the place where I am currently working. Non-Muslim staffs were only allowed to have their lunch for 15 minutes and there will be complimentary lunch from the company. Being an Executive in the Human Resource Department, I was being handed the task of choosing the lunch menu. Yay! I get to choose to order the food which I eat and banning the restaurant from cooking food which I hate a lot. Hahaha … That was just a joke. Basically, I eat everything apart from bitter gourd, bean sprouts and omelette with big onions. Big onion makes you fart big time and they are damn smelly. And mind you, everything doesn't include cow dung, dog poo and etc. Since I was being given the privilege to choose the lunch menu, I will make sure that I make full use of it. *evil grin* Two of my colleagues will be following me to New Sentosa for lunch tomorrow to check out their "economy" rice. Hahaha … "Economy" rice means you are allowed to choose two or three dishes to go with your rice at a specified price. But of course, the more meat you take, the costly it is. Right … I guess this is all for now. Time to hit the sack and let my feet rest.
Let me present you my new Swatch. Muahahahaz … It's white. Tada … *winks* I have finally gotten myself a brand new watch. It took me a few months to decide which one I should get. Hahaha … My first choice has always been Swatch and it still is. Hahaha … Coz I had just gotten myself a brand new Swatch. So damn happy! Hahaha … This is the second watch which I purchased with my own hard earned money. Muahahahaz … The first one had been an Oasis watch which I bought from H Samuel in Oxford Street back in London. But due to several reasons, I have given up on wearing it coz it gave me serious rashes whenever I wear it for more than six hours. Hahaha … I have a very serious allergic condition when it comes to wearing any types of accessories or watch which aren't made of stainless steel. The first watch which I was interested in the first hadn't been Swatch. It was Guess. But then, I was being told that the bracelet isn't made out of stainless steel. Hence, I gave up on it and started looking for another one. Few months ago, I went to Manggis Mall and found a nice Swatch which has got a bit of flowers on the bracelet. But then, I didn't get to try it on coz I have no intention to buy at all since my old Swatch hasn't broke down on me yet. Hahaha … And then, few weeks later, I accidentally dropped it. The whole watch got detached from each other and it's beyond repair. So, I have got no choice but to wear my Oasis watch and it constantly gives me rashes until I got fed up and then hooked it up on my keychain along with my office keys and etc. As usual, the watch doesn't last long. Hahaha … Mind you, the watch is still working perfectly fine at the moment. The only thing which has gone bad is that the screen is completely detached from the watch surface. But I had gotten it fixed this afternoon before I bought this new Swatch a while ago.
I really needed a holiday right now but then it seems like a farfetched dream. I am not saying that I am financially incapable of having one but due to job restriction, I can't have it for the time being. It has always been a peak season around this time of the year in the place where I am working now. Therefore, no one is allowed to have holiday during this one month peak season. I was indeed thrilled when my friend invited me to join him for a 4 days 3 night holiday trip to KK to visit our friend. But then, it was only short term happiness for the both of us. Basically, he just wanted to have fun in KK before he starts to work like a workaholic and I think I should reward myself with a holiday trip after working continuously for one month with seven full shifts per week. Last week, he even offered to visit me in Bandar but then got cancelled coz I don't have the time to meet him. Ever since I have taken up this job in the first place, I have self-prepared that I am no longer gonna be able to enjoy those weekend off day and Public Holidays. I do have Public Holidays but then I can only claim it at a later stage unless the Public Holiday happened to fall on my original off day by coincidence. Basically, I would say that I spent most of my waking hours working. What a loyal staff I am! As if!!! That's because I am forced to do so. Hahaha … =D Initially, I got my approval from my Senior Manager about the leave. But then half an hour later, he told me its better if I could cancel my leave coz all Non-Muslim operational staff has to work full shift until the second batch of Muslim staff that went for Hari Raya had came back. One of my best friends had also invited me to go Miri with her some time around the mid of September. I turned down the invitation coz I knew that I definitely wouldn't be able to take leave during that period. Anyways, I think I will go to Singapore for holiday some time around November to visit my darling Andrea. Muahahahaz … I heard that one of the travel agencies in Brunei is offering damn cheap deal to Singapore with accommodation included for 3 days and 2 nights. It's only BND$255!!! Damn cheap, isn't it???!!!!
I had been extremely busy lately, in case some of you had been wondering where the hell I have been for the past few weeks. I had been working non-stop without having any rest day for the past two weeks. Lucky that I am still kicking alive even though I had been working hard for the last two weeks. Hahaha … Seriously, I am both physically and emotionally exhausted at this very moment. Sometimes, I do wish that I could take medical leave and rest at home. xD Anyways, I don't think I would be able to blog much further. Kinda sleepy and I wanna start reading the book which I had just bought from Best Eastern after I had my dinner. It's been a while since I was being so addicted to reading. I used to like reading but then few months after I started working, the novelty sort of worn off. I had bought quite a few new books but then some of them were left untouched. Anyways, time to go now. See ya!
