Colleagues and I had lunch at the newly renovated Thai Restaurant at The Mall, Gadong few days ago. I had been eating out lately and my stomach kinda felt uneasy after those heavy and spicy foods. Ran to the loo straight after I had finished the meal and had my colleagues to pay for me beforehand. Hahaha … The foods were just average to me. This isn't my first time dining at the restaurant. The first time had been a very satisfying one. I guess the chef wasn't in a very good mood that day hence the food cooked out weren't that great either. Hahaha … Anyways, let me show you the pictures of the food we had that day … 1. Tom Yam in Clear Soup This doesn't taste that great coz the soup weren't hot and spicy enough. Just sour but not spicy enough. And my colleagues told the waitress not to add in crabs; hence the soup is not as nice as the previous one we had. 2. Mango Fish The fish were deeply fried and it's a bit hard. Nonetheless, it still tastes alright. Not great but alright. 3. Stir-Fry Baby Kailan Nothing to comment about it. xD 4. Green Chicken Curry I did not have a lot of it coz I have a weak stomach for coconut milk especially if they were not fresh. According to my colleagues, the Green Curry was a bit too spicy but they enjoyed it a lot. 5. Pineapple Fried Rice This was nice! The flavorings were just right. =D
This should be the proper entry for Chinese New Year Eve dinner compared to the previous one. Initially, I intended to compile them both together in one single entry. But then some people misunderstood and thought that we had a cheap and abnormal ever Chinese New Year Eve dinner. You know who you are! Muahahahahaz … Anyways, we had almost the same food every Chinese New Year Eve for the past ten years. But at least we had extra two different foods under my request compared to the previous few years. Hahahaha … xD My mother had decorated the whole house with faked flowers. One of them was the one displayed on the table in the living room. Hahaha …. Tadah … Ok … Let me show you all the food now. I am quite satisfied with the outcome of the photos taken with my old battered digital camera left to me by my Sister. Hahaha … Just kidding! Must say nice things about her camera or else she will confiscate it from me. Hahaha … Begged her for a long time before she decided to donate it to me. 1. Steamed Chicken & Marinated Duck Two of the most normal and common food we had every Chinese New Year Eve. 2. Deep Fried Chicken Wings 3. Minced Pork Rolls 4. Mixed Veggie 5. Lotus Root Soup A table full of food! I guess this is all for now. I'm kinda tired after a long day at Tutong. Ciao …
Let me warn you all beforehand, this is gonna be a food entry. Hahaha … I know it's been a while since I last blogged. I had been very busy for the last two weeks with work. As usual, work is hectic at the end of the month and the early of month. So, I am now on three days Chinese New Year leave. Hahaha … I had just finished most of my work by 5PM. I've bought two pairs of heels, a pair of casual sandals, few shirts, a bag and my favorite Guy Laroche wallet for this coming New Year. xD Anyways, I had dinner with parents at i-Lotus few nights ago. The food was average, not something which I would compliment about. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. 1. Braised Chicken with Sea Cucumber and Fish Maw 2. Charcoal Roasted Herbal Duck 3. Sze'Chuan Spicy Beancurd My verdict for the food was just acceptable. It's not something which you will crave for the next time. Anyways, Happy Lunar New Year everyone! May the Tiger year be a prosperous one for everyone ... =D
The Lunar New Year will be approaching very shortly. It's been hectic at work lately. Whenever I come home from work, the only thing which I wanted to was to watch the drama series rather than blogging. The novelty of blogging seems to have worn off. Hahaha … I had been complaining JiaJia that her blogs lack of entries. And look at what happened to mine? Hahaha … Anyways, enough of those nonsense. I have yet completed my CNY purchases. There are so many things which I have yet bought. *sweat* I have bought a couple of shirts from Giordano and Nicole MNJ. But they are still not enough yet. *sigh* I was too lazy to edit the pictures one by one so I do them all at once. Hahaha … Save my time and energy! The first purple shirt blouse was bought from Nicole MNJ counter in Yayasan. It was currently on offer so I bought it. If it wasn't for Chinese New Year, I would have gotten the black one. But seriously, I do think that the purple looks nicer than the black one. Hahaha … The second was from Giordano. It was actually two different piece garments actually but I combined them into one. Hahaha … Not sure whether I am gonna wear like that in the end. Hahaha … There's another combination actually. Hahaha … I tried it but it doesn't look good on me. I almost killed myself when I saw the price difference of the same shirt between Giordano Centrepoint and Giordano Yayasan for the T-shirt with crystals bling bling. As mentioned in my previous few entry, I bought the same shirt for Diddy as a Christmas gift. I remembered that the price after discount was $17.90. But when I was paying for my own piece, I was surprised to see the price on the bill was freaking $22.40 after discount!!! *sigh* I should have bought it in Yayasan. I bought a pair of heels from Cartino Sonea three weeks ago. But then, I was regretful in the end. So, I returned it and exchanged it for something else. I exchanged it for a pair of sandals for my mom and a pair of slippers for me. Hahaha … I just love the jewels on it. Hahaha …
