Before I start rambling about my daily snippets of life, a very Happy Birthday greeting to Alan who is turning 23 in just half an hour. Hahaha … May the upcoming year be a blessed one for you! Alright … I am back at home now. Dad picked me up from hostel in the evening. But I will still be staying in hostel for another two weeks due to the fact that my dad still couldn't drive in daylight. Anyways, there aren't many things which I could blog about as there hasn't been much happening on me lately. I was sick last week with sore throat, fever, stuffed nose and cough. My voice is still hoarse and I am not fully recovered yet. Hahaha … Anyways, I will be going back to the office early in the morning tomorrow to get some unfinished business done. Argh!!! How I hate to go back to the office during my off day but what can I do? They need to be done ASAP. Damn!!! Okay … I am gonna rewind back my memories for what had been happening for the past few days. I took a day off from work last Saturday as KinG came down from KB and JiaJia invited me to join her at the salon as she wanted to have a hair fringe shortened. She picked me up from The Mall some time after half past one. Her appointment was at 2PM. I had a pedicure as the nails had started to get hideous looking. Hahaha … We left the salon at about half past three and went back to The Mall to pick KinG up before we set out for Yayasan. The trip to Yayasan had been not been productive as we couldn't get things done in the end. We went to have tea break instead at Kiulap. We had ABC and Rojak at one of those coffee shops in Kiulap. I had Jagung and Grass Jelly ABC. It tastes just fine but not as nice as the one I usually had at Centrepoint Food Court in Gadong. =D The three of us were starving hence we dig in without taking any picture besides a picture of my drink. Hahaha … So, you could imagine how famished we were. Hahaha … While we were halfway finishing our food, KinG asked what are we gonna have for dinner. *sweat* Seriously, there isn't much decent eatery in town. Suddenly, I came up with Shabu Shabu Icebar. They serve Halal Steamboat. Hahaha … Both JiaJia and I were completely stuffed after having our drinks and Rojak. However, KinG insisted that we must have steamboat for dinner. Duh!!! So, we went to reserve a table at Shabu Shabu Icebar. It turned out that the place was fully reserved for the night unless we have our dinner earlier. Initially, I felt like backing out since I was really full and doesn't have the appetite to continue stuffing myself with more food since I was still unwell. Both JiaJia and I were practically forced to have steamboat as dinner with him. *sigh* What can we do? He's the guest and we have to do what he says. Hahaha … JiaJia and I shared a platter while King had the whole platter for himself. Hahaha … He was having a hard time finishing the whole lot in the end. Serves him right for forcing us to have dinner with him in the first place. Hahaha …. Just kidding! I hope he doesn't see this or else I am in trouble big time. Nevertheless, the dinner had been fun! JiaJia and I ordered a set meal with beef and KinG had a set meal with crabs. They do serve a generous amount of seafood ingredients. But bear in mind that the mussels were not fresh enough. The mussels which we had on our platters haven't been the freshest ones they have got as both KinG and I claimed that there's a weird smell. In overall, the price was reasonable as the portion has been quite generous. However, if you are not a big eater, I would recommend you sharing the platter with someone or else you will be having a hard time finishing it off. Hahaha … It was raining cats and dogs when we had finished our dinner. JiaJia drove us back to The Mall where KinG parked his car. We waited for the rain to die down before he sends me home and drives back to KB. Unfortunately, the rain showed no sign of dying down. He sent me home some time before half past eight. Had a long bath and continue reading my book. Hahaha … Slept quite early that night as I was exhausted and tired.
Yay! I will be moving back home for real in one week time. Hahaha … Both Sister and Dad will be back home respectively. Hahaha … Anyways, haven't been doing much shopping lately as I had been pretty busy with work for the past few days. Hahaha … I am back at home right now coz Wednesday is my usual day off from work. I was supposed to go down town to have some haircut but then felt lazy to do so hence stayed at home and continue with my downloading marathon. xD I had been downloading some of the latest drama series. It took me a while to get downloading software which the transfer rate could be as fast as my previous downloading software. I am currently using QVOD. Quite fast and I am extremely happy and satisfied with it. =D I can finally get to download The Mentalist and Ugly Betty after not being able to download for about a month. Anyways, I'll show you what I had been downloading and watching lately. Most of them are Koreans. *sweat* I haven't been a big fan of Korean Drama Series until recently. xD 1. The Mentalist Season 2 I think the storyline had gone slightly boring over time. The first season had been a very nice one. 2. Ugly Betty Season 4 3. White Collar Season 1 I liked this one the most coz Neal Caffrey is so gorgeous and he's smart! I am waiting for the second season. =D 4. 个人趣向 5. 灰姑娘的姐姐 7. 偷心大圣P.S.男 8. 就想赖着你 Anyways, I guess this is all for now coz it's time to start packing for tomorrow. Brought home loads of dirty laundry coz the water back in the hostel hasn't been very clean lately. Ciao …

I am back again! Hahaha … I had been going online almost everyday in the nearest coffee house near to my company accommodation. But this is the only time when I do feel like blogging. Hahaha … There hasn't been much issue with the water supply since the day I moved in. Anyways, I am going home on this coming Tuesday and Wednesday. Applied leave for it. Anyways, loads of things had been happening for the past few days and I felt that I don't even have the time to breathe in properly. Things which I don't them to happen but they did anyways. How I wish I could just hide under my blanket and pretends that they never happened. Haven't been having the best night sleeps resulting in cranky moods most of the days. So, don't try to test my patience or else I am gonna explode any time soon. Anyways, lots of thanks to my two besties who were there listening to me whining about my bad days and offering me advise and suggestion. I am not sure whether they work on me or not but I do feel a bit relaxed and calm afterwards. xD I guess this is all for now. I have to hit the drug store before I am going home for my shower. I doubt I am gonna be able to sleep tonight coz I just woke up from my afternoon nap not long ago.
Hahaha … Got you! As some of you might have known, I will be temporarily moving to company accommodation due to some personal reasons. So, I am predicting that this is gonna be the last entry for a short while. I doubt I would be blogging much whilst staying at company accommodation coz I haven't got the right software to edit picture in my old laptop. Anyways, I am almost done packing but there are still some stuff to be packed tomorrow before I leave the house. I am bringing the little carrot "bolster" which my colleagues bought for me on my last birthday. Hahaha … Normally, I am not someone who is fond of holding a bolster to sleep. But I might be having trouble sleeping in a new and strange environment. You might not be seeing me online very often but I'll try to go online as much as possible. I am expecting that free wireless signal is impossible. So, I had brought along my external HDD with indefinite supplies of drama series to kill the time when I am working morning shift. Hahaha … xD P.S: JiaJia, if you coming to Gadong on any day when I am working morning shift, please feel free to look for me. Or I might as mould at home. Hahaha … Just kidding! I think that's all for now. It's time to hit the sack. See you some time in the next few weeks. Hahaha …
As usual, work has been pretty hectic lately. All staffs were required to work full shifts for the next few weeks due to the company annual stocktaking event and some of the staffs will be going on holiday in the early of next month. Argh!!! My leave application was being withdrawn by my managers as they think that the company will be facing extreme shortage of management staffs on that particular week which I applied leave. But they do allow me to go on leave during weekends. Muahahaha … Initially, I applied leave for five days in a row but then it's gonna "shrink" to two days only. Hahaha … Anyways, I am currently planning my vacation to both Singapore and KL during July. There might be some changes with the itinerary. I had been changing my itinerary for the past few days and I pretty sure that Andrea has gotten sick of me for not being decisive enough. Well, it's not my fault anyways. Hahaha … But this time, I am gonna do it the hard way. I am gonna book the ticket before and only apply leave once the ticket has been confirmed. Hahaha … Initially, I am planning to go SG for 3D2N. In the end, I'm intrigued to go KL as well. Hahaha … So, I invited Andrea to tag along. Initially, she was interested. But by the end of the day, she told me that why would she want to go KL when she could have all the fun in SG. *sweat* So, I am looking for a travelling partner now. It's so hard to look for a travelling partner to go KL with me coz I am the only weirdo coming out from the jungle who has yet been to KL. I once got mocked by my ex university housemates back in the UK for not been to KL despite being a Malaysian. Argh!!! Anyways, I shall negotiate my way out with Andrea. Hahaha … But I don't think I am generous enough to sponsor her entire trip to KL. Hahaha … I shall see how things and decide what to do later. *sigh* I was browsing through W H Smith and Waterstones website a while ago and found out that two of my most wanted fictions are finally out in the market. Hooray!! I am gonna check whether Popular Bookstore in Malaysia is selling it. Or I would have to ask my Sister to bring it back from UK for me. Of course, I am paying her! 1. Take A Chance On Me – Jill Mansell 2. Foursome – Jane Fallon
It's been days since I last updated. Hasn't been having the time to do so hence the hiatus. Anyways, I had started my job seeking marathon since last week and it hasn't been very productive at all. Perhaps all I needed now is patience and the determination to get a new job. Mind you, I am not at all unemployed at the moment (if that's what you are thinking). I just thought maybe it's time for a career change. Sometimes, things just don't go the way you wanted them to be. Well, life just isn't perfect. Anyways, I hadn't been downloading much lately as there had been some problem with my downloading software. No idea what had gone wrong but … Haiz … I am going for a holiday afterall sometime in May or June. JiaJia and I planned to go KK in the mid of June. But then, I think I might need to shift the dates forward. I can't wait till June. I needed to go somewhere out of Brunei. No idea why and don't even bother to ask. I am not gonna say anything. Anyways, here's an update of what I had been doing for the past few days. I went to town last Wednesday to get some printing done for my CVs. How I wish I had bought a printer in the first place. It's so inconvenient when you needed you a printer and you happened not to have one. Argh! Later had lunch at Cheezbox, The Mall. I had ordered Sesame Milk Tea. Something which I longed to have since a while ago. But whenever I tried to order for it, they always tell me they it was out of stock. *sweat* Couldn't they at least made an effort to make sure that they have an infinite amount of sesame stashed somewhere in their stockroom? Ignore me! I am not in the right state of mind at the moment. Needed something to let my overgrown emotion out of me and retail therapy doesn't seem to work! Finally, I get to have my long awaited Sesame Milk Tea. And frankly speaking, I don't really like it coz I think they had put too much sugar syrup in it. Alright, you can have the perfect taste of sesame but I do think that the sugar level is too much. Had Beef Lasagna since it's been ages I had it. Anyways, didn't manage to finish the whole thing and left some. Too oily, I would say. Whilst I was waiting for my food to arrive, I went online with my newly purchased iPod Touch. Well, I think it was an impulse purchase. I was desperate in need for some kind of retail therapy and the first thing which I wanted to have is an iPod Touch. I wouldn't completely agree that it was an impulse purchase as I had always wanted it few months ago on my birthday. But my friends told me not to get one since it's not worthwhile the money paid for. Right, so I followed their advice and not buying it. Over these past few months, I had always been visiting the store and to have a look at the displayed iPod Touch to overcome my "crave". I know crave isn't the right word but I can't think of the right vocabulary now. Before I bought my iPod Touch few days ago, I had a debate in my heart. I was weighing the pros and cons. Hahaha … Then I was thinking, if I had bought the iPod Touch, what am I gonna do with my iPod Shuffle? Lastly, I came to my decision that I am either gonna sell it off or just give it to my Sister. Done! So, I bought my iPod Touch at $308. Loads of people thought it's expensive. I thought so too. I could have just add another $68 and get a nice decent looking LG phone. *sob sob* Too late! But seriously, I am not regretting getting myself the iPod Touch despite being expensive. I can always go online when I am on the move. There's no need for heavy and bulky laptop anymore! Hooray! I could watch videos on YouTube, visiting my own blog and even others! There are still some other features but I have yet finished exploring my iPod Touch. Normally, it takes me quite a while to figure the way around a new gadget. Especially something which comes from Apple?
Don't ask me what has gone wrong coz I myself doesn't even know what's going on. I had been having the urge of retail therapy since a couple of days ago. It could be due to work or personal stress. But, I don't know what it is. So, don't even bother to press me for more information. I am saying NOTHING! I went to town this morning as I had to settle some unfinished business at the Royal Brunei Airline Service Centre. It was an extremely hot day today so I went to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for my favorite Ice-Blended White Chocolate Dream. It's sinful but nice! Later went window shopping at Yayasan to look for the Casio watch which I wasn't able to get when I was in Miri last week. Apparently, I am still determined to get it at all cost. Unfortunately, they are not selling the model which I wanted. I don't care! I am getting it the next time I am going Miri. Before I went home, I went to a beauty salon for pedicure as I have got horrible in-grown nails. It had been irritating me for quite some time. So, I guess it's time to hit the salon. Initially, I planned to have it done in one of the beauty salon in the building next to HSBC. But then I am not sure how well they do pedicure. So, I decided to try out the place which I had been to before but never actually tried their manicure and pedicure services. It's called Vidal Sassoon Salon and it's located on the First Floor of Maya Puri Building. It's in the same building as Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in town. I was feeling a bit doubtful when I walked in coz I had never been there. The place looked a bit dodgy. I mean the way leading to the salon. But the interior design of the salon was still acceptable. Not as dodgy as the hallway looked like. Hahaha … A manicurist attended me. She is the voluptuous kind. But she does well as a manicurist. Very professional! When she was about to trim my nails, she asked me whether I would like to go for scrubbing as I have terrible cracked heels. I told her that I had done scrubbing before and it's not that effective. But then, she managed to persuade me to go for scrubbing in the end. Surprisingly, I was extremely satisfied and happy with the condition of my heels after they were been scrubbed. They looked so pinkish and soft! She managed to remove all the dead and dried skin off my soles and heels. I had French Manicure. Initially, I intended to do nail arts. But think twice, there's no point of doing nail arts when nobody is gonna look at your feet, right? Hahaha … I loved how the French Manicure came out as compared to the last time I had at AMO Salon back in Batu Bersurat. I paid for $22 in overall for the pedicure, scrubbing, foot massage and French Manicure. So if anyone of you are interested, you could always go to Vidal Sassoon Salon and look for the lady. I don't know her name but I can say that she's nice and professional. *winks*
As you can see, I had removed my old blog template and modified it with a new one. Hahaha … Andrea had been complaining that she couldn't access my blog so I thought it could be due to some features problem with my old blog template. But the outcome was still the same. I've given up and I am not gonna do anything about it anymore! Anyways, its gonna be a long week ahead as the company is currently short of staffs. Argh! How I hate to work additional full shifts even though I knew I am getting paid for working extra hours. And sometimes, I felt envious of those people who get to work normal working hours and having a blast with their nightlife whereas my nightlife only consists of work!!! Life is so damn unfair and we never get what we wanted. Anyways, my colleague re-invited me to join them for their Taiwan trip for this coming summer. I am not at all interested anymore as I preferred to go with my closest friends. Seriously, I really do think that I needed a long break as I am starting to get sick and tired of my extremely routine job. I am thinking of having a short holiday trip to somewhere but I am still looking for a travel partner. How I missed college and university life when you have got nothing to worry about besides deadline and examinations???!!!
OMG! It's like natural sauna back here in my room. *sweat* I had my dinner in a complete rush as I am scheduled to be the Duty Officer for the day. I had ordered Pumpkin Soup and a slice of Black Forest Cake. I like their Black Forest Cake as there were generous amount of black forest stuffed in between the layered sponge cake. *drooling* The Pumpkin Soup was just average. I guess there's too much of black pepper in the soup hence it made the soup tasted all weird. Or perhaps it has something to do with my taste bud?? My colleague went for their Moist Chocolate Cake and a cup of Cappuccino. 1. Pumpkin Soup 2. Black Forest Cake 3. Moist Chocolate Cake 4. Cappuccino
Anyways, colleague and I went to Secret Recipe for dinner yesterday night as we ran out of idea on where to eat. Hence, I decided that maybe we could go for Secret Recipe since she's not so interested in having rice for dinner.
Yup … I am back from Miri. I stayed for a night in Miri. Went down in wee hours and my first stop had been Miri International Airport. Those who don't know me might think that I am going for a vacation coz the amount of stuffs that I brought had been exaggerating. Our conversation went on like this: Mom: How many nights are you intending to stay in Miri? Me: One. Mom: Then why are you bringing such a huge trolley luggage? Me: I am bringing my laptop and I am lazy to carry loads of stuffs. So, might as well just stuff everything in one big luggage. Mom: *Speechless* It took me a while to pack my luggage as I am trying to make sure that my notebook gets the maximum protection from shock. So, I had my clothes stuffed around the edges of my notebook. I even bought a pink toiletries bag so that I could store all my toiletries in there. Hahaha … My first stop had been Miri International Airport coz Patrick is flying back to Singapore. And I have got stuffs that I needed him to pass to Andrea. He thought that I was catching a plane too coz I had brought quite a huge luggage like I said earlier on. Even his parents were fooled. I told them that I am staying overnight in Miri hence I brought my trolley luggage. And when Alan arrived and had helped me with my luggage, he had also asked the same question like my mom. Hahaha … Perhaps, nobody would ever expect someone to put their laptop in a trolley luggage since it's not something advisable to do. After we had sent Patrick off, Alan and I went to Morsjaya to have breakfast since it's near to the airport. And guess what happened? We got a fine ticket for not displaying parking coupon as we only intended to check whether there any seat available. What a day to start! The actual amount needed to pay for not displaying parking coupon was RM20 but since he paid right after he got the fine ticket, RM10 was being waived off. Since there's no seat available at Morsjaya, we went to the town centre to have breakfast. We bumped into my colleague and chatted for quite long. And when we got back to the car, there's another fine ticket awaiting us. *duh* What a day! After breakfast, we went to collect my newly made glasses from one of the optical store in Mega Hotel. Initially, I planned just to change the lenses but I got a whole new rimless spec in the end. Later in the afternoon, we went to Bintang Mall for window shopping. I've bought a new pair of heels from S.O.S. It was RM49.90. It was cheap compared to the ones that were sold in Brunei. It has got about the same design just different brand name. And the good thing is that it's quite comfortable for a start. I love the shoes' shops in Bintang Mall. It's a paradise for shoes lovers like me! Hahaha … And bought some hair accessories from Princess Club. The sales lady in the store kept on following me. Well, that's the typical "service" they give in most of the shops in Malaysia. It took me about 30 minutes before I made my payment. She must be thinking how much longer do I need before I am paying. In the end, I bought about five pieces of items at RM28.50. Anyways, I bought two new books from Popular Bookstore. Lucky that I did not get Sophie Kinsella – Twenties Girl from Best Eastern. The price at Best Eastern was horrendous. Bloody $42.90 when Popular was only selling for RM32.90 for the same thing. *sweat* I invited Lina for dinner at Citrus yesterday night. It had been great and fun. The food was really nice. The ambience of the restaurant was not bad as well. It's a great place to celebrate Valentine. Lina told us that she had been there for about three times. And there was one time when she came to celebrate her friend's birthday at sometime before Valentine or on Valentine Day itself. Then I teased her that they must be singing Happy Birthday to the birthday guy or girl when the other couples were murmuring "I Love You" to each other. Hahaha … And they had not remove the Valentine decoration despite Valentine Day was more than two weeks ago. We were extremely full when we finished our dinner. We even had desserts. Surprisingly! Initially, we thought that the portion for their main course wouldn't be very big so we ordered dessert. In the end, we had trouble finishing our food. Half of my food was left untouched coz I was too full. But we did manage to finish our dessert coz it was really nice despite being overly sweet. 1. Garden Salad (RM6.50) This came out pretty fast as there's no need for frying, baking or whatsoever. Lina looked a bit disappointed when her food arrived. I think she hasn't been expecting that her Garden Salad would come out like that? 2. Chicken Baked Rice (RM9.90) Lina recommended Alan this dish. The proportion was kinda big. And surprisingly, Alan did not manage to finish even though he's a big eater. And the most surprising thing is that even a fussy food eater like him said that his food was nice. 3. Linguine Carbonara (RM14.90) I love it! The pasta was cooked just right and the beef bacon was nicely done. I am pretty sure that the pasta would taste even better if they use pork bacon but pork is banned in a Halal restaurant. Initially, I wanted to try their lamb chop. But once I saw the portion of it, I decided not to order. It took me quite some time to decide. I had also thought of ordering Marinara Linguine. But since I was wearing a white shirt cum black tube, I don't think it was a good idea. I will be having a hard time trying to get the stain off if I accidentally spilled some sauce on my shirt. 4. Apple Crumble (RM12.90) At first, we requested the waitress to cancel this item. But then, we were being told that they had finished preparing the dessert so we had no choice but to continue stuffing ourselves with more food! Frankly speaking, the apple sauce is even sweeter than the ice-cream itself. The only thing on the dish which was not sweet was the apples. Hahaha … I love the waffle on the bottom of the ice-cream. In overall, my rating for the store was 8.5 out of 10. The only thing which I wasn't that satisfied with was the waiting time for the food to come. But since the food was pretty nice, it was worth the wait afterall.
Okay … I brought a trolley luggage. On the night before I was due to go Miri, I asked my mom where she put the trolley luggage. She thought I must be crazy for bringing such a huge luggage when I am staying for ONE night only. Hahaha …
