My Unpleasant Experience @ Easy Way

I was out shopping with JiaJia and Diddy at Manggis Mall last Tuesday. It was pouring heavily outside so the three of us decided to have supper at Easy Way nearby since I went out without having any dinner. Honestly speaking, that was the most unpleasant experience I ever had eating outside.

First, the waitresses seem so reluctant to serve us. I have no idea why. But I am aware that they have started doing some washing up. For Christ sake, it's not even near closing hour yet. They might be expecting an early shut down since it's pouring heavily outside and not expecting a big crowd.

There were another two customers coming in after us. So, the waitress did come to us for our orders. Before the waitress proceeded with our orders, she did a double check whether she had written down the right order. Okay … She got everything right.

But they kept on giving us the food which we didn't even order. JiaJia ordered for a Honeydew Pearl Milk Tea and they gave her Chocolate Pearl Milk Tea. Diddy ordered for a Chocolate Milkshake but it turned out to be Ice-Blended Chocolate. But at least they got my drink right. I always have Honeydew Pudding Milk Tea. Hahaha …

Both JiaJia and Diddy complained that the drinks were too sweet for their likings but mine was just acceptable. I ordered Hotdog Fried Rice for dinner. And guess what they gave me instead? Fish ball Fried Rice! Can't they even differentiate between hotdogs and fish balls? They are not even the same in color! *sweat*

I told the waitress that this is not the food which I ordered in the first place. She brought the food back to the kitchen and replaced me with another one. She practically dumped the plate on the table when she returned with my new plate of Hotdog Fried Rice. I almost had the urge to strangle her neck and have her suffocating. I don't mind a small mistake as no one is perfect and people tend to make mistake once in a while. And she doesn't even bother to apologize knowing that she had made a couple of mistakes.

Happy Birthday!

This entry is dedicated to one of my dearest. Please don't get the wrong idea. xD

Happy Birthday, Andrea!!!

Parents’ Day Dinner @ Shabu Shabu Ice Bar

When one of my colleagues told me that it's Father Day this Sunday, only then it reminds me that I have a blog entry which I had owed for quite some time. So, I guess it's time to post them up.

Sister and I organized a belated Mother's Day and advanced Father's Day dinner at Shabu Shabu Ice Bar last month. Initially, we have loads of options in mind but then narrowed down to Shabu Shabu Ice Bar in the end coz buffet dinner at Seasons Restaurant is extremely costly.

This is the second time I had been to Shabu Shabu Ice Bar but a first time experience for both my parents and Sister. Anyways, we ordered three sets of dishes. Two mini sets for both parents and a large set for both Sister and I to share. Hahaha …

Welcome to Shabu Shabu Ice Bar …

The menu booklet …

Ever wondered what are the red pots for? I mean for those who had never tried Shabu Shabu Ice Bar.

After we had our food ordered, both Sister and I headed towards the sauce bar. They had variety of sauces for customers to choose from sesame oil to whatever sauce you could think of. They also provide complimentary bottomless plain water. But you have to help yourself with the drink as there is no waiter or waitress to help you filling up your cup. Hahaha …

Our eating utensils ...

1. Salmon Fish Fillet Set

2. Ostrich Sliced Meat Set

I don't know what is the exact name of the dish called so I made one up. It should be something like that with the word Ostrich. Hahaha …

3. Mixed Seafood Set

4. Side dish - Scallop

This is the large set which Sister and I had. Nothing much to scream about except the fact that you get loads of seafood in the dish. Hahaha …

The four of us had different soup base for our food. I did not took all the picture of the soup base that we all had so I only remembered that I had curry flavored soup base. Hahaha …

What does the color of the curry soup looked like to you? It looked like orange colored oil paint, right?

This is our family portrait minus Sister. Hahahaha …. =D

Dinner @ Seri Kemayan Restaurant

I've got so many backdated post which I think I am gonna do them all in one shot tonight. I am currently on three days leave. I had been working my ass off for the last couple of days just for the sake of these three days leave. *sweat*

Anyways, I just got back home from dinner with parents and some of their friends a while ago. My mother who is generous enough this evening had decided that she will treat all seven of us to dinner at Seri Kemayan Restaurant. Hahaha … Initially, I wasn't that keen to join the group coz I am the youngest of them all and there is no conversation compatibility. *sweat*

But think twice, I have got nothing to eat at home if I don't tag along. So, why waste the chance being treated a decent meal? Hahaha … That was just a joke. Anyways, I came home with some new goodies.

I had bought a new calculator for myself. Hello Kitty! Don't faint when you see it. Hahaha … I am not a big fan of Hello Kitty but I can't resist not to get one for myself since it is exactly the same price as the normal Casio calculators.

Anyways, let's stick to the topic …

We had four dishes and a soup for dinner.

1. Black Peppered Lamb

Rating: 9.5 out of 10

I liked this one the most coz the meat is tender enough and there is not a single hint of the raw smell in it.

2. Stir Fry Asparagus with Sambal

Rating: 8 out of 10

I wouldn't give this dish a very high rating I am an asparagus intolerant according to my nutritionist. Hahaha …

3. Sesame Fried Whole Chicken

Rating: 7 out of 10

According to the rest of the group, the breast area is too dry. It doesn't bother me much coz I seldom eat chicken breast. I only eat chicken thighs coz I knew that they are the most juicy and smooth after drumsticks. Hahaha … =D

4. Braised Beancurd with Fish Head

Rating: 6 out of 10

I don't really fancy fish in stew. And I did not get to try much of the dish anyways coz it was far away from me. Hahaha … Call it a lame excuse, I don't care! Hahaha …

5. Sea Cucumber Soup

Rating: 8.5 out of 10

This is actually not bad but I preferred the one I once ate at a restaurant back in Malaysia. The amount of crab meat is not generous enough.

Birthday Celebration In The Office

It's still early in the morning and I guess I have got extra time to blog before I am going to work. It is supposed to be my rest day today but since I have got loads of work to do, I have no choice but to work on my rest day and have it replaced on some other day. Hahaha …

Anyways, a few colleagues and I celebrated one of our managers' birthday in the office last Thursday. We bought the cake from Fun Bread. It was called Mixfruit Paradise or Cocktail Paradise. I had totally forgotten about it. Lately, I can't seem to remember many things. *sweat*.

The cake indeed looked very appealing but not that appealing anymore when you are slicing it. The whole thing just started to crumble when you try to slice it for the first time. Let me tell you something funny. Some of my colleagues asked me why I just had one candle stick from the bakery. My answers to that question are I don't exactly know how old is our manager and the cake doesn't look like it could afford so many candle sticks being stubbed on top of it. You'll know what I mean by that when you see the pictures later on.

Hmm … I guess I just post up as much pictures as I could coz I do not know what to write anymore. Hahaha … Enjoy the pictures. Ciao …

Now you'll know why I meant the cake couldn't afford being stubbed so many time. It had practically started to crack when we stubbed the first candle.

The girls - Hui Ling, Siaw Chen, Solvil and Mdm. Aurora. All were busy taking pictures when I was busy slicing the cake. *sweat* So unfair!!! Hahaha ...

Oops .. The whole cake looked extremely hideous when we were trying to *slay* it.

Girls’ Day Out

Alright … I better start writing before my novelty wears off. I am gonna turn to bed pretty earlier today as I will be having an early tomorrow. But I doubt I won't be in bed before the clock strikes twelve. Hahaha …

Anyways, I almost screwed up the entire blog just now. Most of the widgets collided with each other and the whole blog was a mess. I was on the verge of pulling all my hairs. Imagine the fury I had a while ago. But they are settled now. They are all back to normal now.

I was intending to change the layout of my blog template this afternoon. But it seems like the embed code doesn't work for my blog. So, I decided to give up before any more damage is done.

I shall start blogging about my girls' day out with my Sister. I planned to blog about it last weekend. As usual, I felt lazy and continue my drama watching marathon.

Anyways, Sister and I went to pamper ourselves at a local salon in town. I had pedicure with nail arts while Sister had both pedicure and manicure. Hahaha … Someone got interested with pedicure and I am sure that she would shout for them the next time she comes back.

We both had a cup of drink each at The Coffee Bean & Tea House before heading to the salon. I was having the time of the month that day hence I feel the need for something hot to soothe the stomach cramp I had. Both of us had White Chocolate Dream. I had the hot one while Sister had the ice-blended one. They were approximately $5 each.

Ice Blended White Chocolate Dream VS Hot White Chocolate Dream

This is how Hot White Chocolate Dream looked like. Nice!!!

We requested our drinks to be takeaway as we were running out of time. We had so many errands to run that day. xD We went to the salon I recommended few months ago. My Sister used to tell me how hideous French Manicure looked but guess what? She liked French Manicure instantly when she sees how well her toes nails looked like after they were being cleaned.

I had the manicurist scrubbing the soles of my feet as dead skin started to grow and they look extremely hideous. They are fine now but they don't look as nice compared to the first time I did scrubbing. There were more cracked heels in sight. *sweat*

Both of us had the same little nail arts painted on our toe nails. We don't like anything fancy so we opted for plain designs.

Tadah … Nice or not???!!!! We had the same designs but our manicurists drew it differently.

This is how the design looked on my Sister toe nails.

Sister had manicure as well but some of her nail polishes were smudged before she left the salon.

That's me camwhoring with my not-so-good-looking hairstyle. My fringe was chopped off way beyond short.

We went to CA Mohammad for Roti Canai our manicure and pedicure session. Anyways, I paid B$30 for the overall pedicure, nail arts and foot scrubbing while Sister only paid for B$27 for manicure, pedicure and nail arts. *sob*

Both of us ordered for the same thing – Roti Kosong and Teh Tarik Halia. Teh Tarik Halia is good enough when you are having the time of the month coz it's warm and soothing. I asked for Fish Curry gravy for the Roti Kosong. Sister said that it was a bit too sour for her liking. Hahaha …

We shopped a little bit at Yayasan before going to The Mall. Sister bought some earrings from iTop and Ego Accessories. I was having a hard time getting the right sunglasses for myself. *sigh*

We had afternoon tea at Secret Recipe later in the afternoon. Both of us went for the Tea Time Special whereby you get to choose any slice of cake you want and it comes with a free hot drink at the price of $4.90 only. We tried their recently introduced cake – Durian Durian. Whoever loves durian would definitely love this cake. It has strong taste of durian and the sponge cake is soft.

We had another slice of Durian Durian and Chocolate Banana Cake as takeaway for parents at home.

I guess this is all for now. Can't think of anything else to write anymore.

Coming up next is our family dinner at Shabu Shabu Ice Bar. xD

Planned Trip For 2011

I had finally decided to cancel my upcoming trip to Singapore in July. Supposedly, I had planned to go Singapore in the mid of July since I was unable to visit Taipei in June. But in the end, I had decided to give up on both of the trip and came up with another grand one. Hahaha … It will cost me a bomb but they were the places which I wanted to visit since years ago.

So, here’s my grand plan. I am returning to UK next year for a two weeks holiday in the mid of April. Nothing is set yet but I will make sure that it will happen this time. Hahaha … The main purpose for returning wasn’t plainly to visit United Kingdom but to tour around European countries. Muahahahaz …

I had been doing a rough sketch in my brain of the cities I wanna visit when I return to UK next year. That will be roughly two days of shopping spree in London. One and a half day in Paris visiting Disneyland and Eiffel Tower. Another two days in Milan doing window shopping and perhaps another three days in either Prague or some other place which I have yet came up with.

I don’t think that I would be doing much visit to the cities in UK as I had been to most of the famous ones. I had been to Manchester, Liverpool, York, Newcastle, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow and etc.

Imagine taking picture with Mickey and Minnie Mouse … Yay! I can’t wait … And of course, it comes with a sacrifice - flat wallet by the end of the trip. Hahaha … Anyways, I had been doing a rough calculation on how much the expenses might be. I am definitely not gonna fly to UK with Air Asia. I’ve been checking the price of air tickets to UK from various airlines’ websites.

I have checked RBA fare and they are currently selling return ticket for B$2,200. *sweat* And the price from SIA is even more outrageous. It was about S$4,200 for economy seating. Double the price as compared to RBA. Qatar Airways is a cheaper alternative after Air Asia. They are selling the ticket for about B$1,600 but the plane departs from KL, which mean I have to spend extra dollars to travel from Brunei to KL. I am currently still checking out fares with Royal Jordanian Airways, Thai Airline and Emirates Airline. Royal Jordanian Airways is currently offering about the same price as Qatar Airways.

I am estimating that this trip is definitely gonna cost me about B$4,000++. Sigh … Its gonna be even more worse if UK government decided that Malaysians required travel VISA to UK and another £1,000 deposit which is non-refundable until you leave UK. Double sigh …

Sister’s Departure To London

Okay … Time to update my blog before my brain turns rusty. Hahaha … Anyways, I have got loads of photos which I have yet edited. Well, I am not talking about Photoshop kind of edit but I do edit pictures before I post them up. xD

We set out from home at about fifteen minutes past five and arrived at the airport twenty minutes later to do check-in before going out again for dinner. Sister had her luggage cling filmed. Just as the same as I used to have when I flew back from UK to Brunei. It costs B$8.00 for a big luggage to be cling filmed.

I was actually planning to take a picture of the price listing for the service but got partially blocked. Hence, you only see price without any description. Hahaha …

Oops …

When we were done checking in, we went for dinner at Tai Ka Luk. It's located nearby the airport. Initially, we planned to go Excapade Sushi. But I guess it sounds like a heavy meal for someone who is gonna be on air for the next 17 hours. So, that is why we ended up at Tai Ka Luk. I ordered for Pai Ku Wang (Pork Ribs). I had been having this most of the time and I am starting to get sick of it. I preferred the Pai Ku Wang from New Sentosa in Gadong.
